Fight Night for Kids

Bert Sugar Last night I worked entertaining the reception time for Fight Night for Kids Much Cigar smoke, large amounts of alcohol and many nieces escorting their Uncles.
On the bright side, I met and performed for some very appreciative people, including Bert Sugar, who returned again and again with guests to my table. Bert is not what you would call a mega celeb, but he has made his mark on the world. At the end of the reception we had a few quiet words and he thanked me for being so “real”.
“Most guys I see doing their little tricks try to be so cocky and self important, but you were the real deal. A Real artist. Thanks for the best time I’ve had at one of these in a long time. You can see God working through you.”

That last line still has me stunned.
